John Denver, a singer-songwriter who hails from Colorado that specialized in folk music, inspired millions of people. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, the singer-songwriter fell in affection with Colorado and eventually relocated to Aspen. Denver's state anthems are a source of inspiration for numerous people to go to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame stated the following: John Denver was by far one of the most popular performers who embodies Colorado. Denver was the first Hall of Fame to be inducted into the hall. Denver is the symbol of Colorado to many around the world. When I travel, I always come across someone on the opposite side of the world one from New Zealand and you say "I'm from Colorado and the first word that comes that comes out of their mouths is Oh John Denver! Brown said. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's top 10 hit after performing with smaller folk groups. The song was written and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff had originally written the tune with Johnny Cash's music with a focus on Johnny Cash, however Denver was aware from the very first time he heard first versions of the song that it could be a huge hit. The song was performed on stage in Washington D.C. to a huge crowd, the singer released the song a couple of days later.
